Pre Construction
Pre construction termite installs are systems put in place to new homes and existing homes under renovation.
New Homes
Main slab is handsprayed using a termiticide prior to concreting. Homeguard collars are installed to all slab penetrations (collars and electrical). This prevents termites entering the home via these pipes and damaging kitchen and bathroom cupboards.
Perimeter (Mowing Strips, Garages, Pillars)
Quack Pest Control utilises the Camilleri Termite Replenishment System which is installed to the external perimeter of dwelling prior to concreting and allows for re treatment.
We use a ‘Fipronil’ based termiticide which is undetectable to termites. If and when they come in contact with the treated soil, it ends up eliminating the nest.
Internal Concrete Slab Cutouts
Generally this means a plumber had to jack hammer up a section of slab to fix a water leak. Maybe it’s a bathroom renovation job and pipes have been relocated.
Quack Pest Control needs to install a physical barrier to the concrete cutout. We utilise Homeguard GT Granular, Homeguard collars and Homeguard TMB or DPC sheets.
Renovations
Need another bedroom as your family has grown? You will require termite systems be installed for certification. Depending on what works are being carried out, we will either utilise Homeguard, Greenzone, and or Camilleri termite replenishment systems to certify your extension.
