Did you know termite treatments to homes built since 1997 can be as simple as charging your termite replenishment system which is already installed around your home? Organochlorines were used as termite control in the old days. They were banned from 1997. Today, new homes are built with a replenishment system which allows us to hook up to and pump the required amount of product around your house. This can be done without any disruption to the household.
What is a termite replenishment system I hear you ask? Well, there are a few systems on the market:
These termite systems are installed to the perimeter of new homes (verandahs, mowing strips, carports/garages) prior to concrete pour. These are pipes which have holes every 150mm. They run the perimeter of the dwelling and have charge up points (valve boxes) to certain locations to the perimeter.
An example: The perimeter of your home is 80 meters. We need to apply 5 ltrs per meter totalling 400 ltrs to your system. Think of your home as your castle (which of course it is!) and around your castle is the moat. The moat is the chemical zone to protect you from termite attack.
What product does Quack Pest use? Fipronil—our premium product and preferred when replenishing your termite system. It is undetectable in the soil and when termites come in contact, they unknowingly transfer the product to each other and helps to eliminate the nest! We recommend replenishing every 5 years. We have priced this product to be the most attractive option in protecting your home even when compared to other companies who will quote using Bifenthrin.
Do you have a termite replenishment system not installed by Quack Pest Control? Unsure if you can use us? You can! We are licensed termite technicians. The system is yours. Your termite system is not owned by the pest control company who installed it. What we offer:

Comprehensive termite inspections are crucial for early detection and prevention of costly damage. Our licensed inspectors use advanced tools and knowledge to detect termite activity in hidden areas. We conduct thorough examinations of both the interior and exterior of your property, identifying signs of active infestations or conducive conditions. Following the inspection, we provide a detailed report with actionable recommendations to protect your home from future termite threats.
How do I know if I have a termite problem?
Signs of a termite problem include hollow-sounding wood, visible mud tubes on walls or foundations, discarded wings near windows or doors and damaged or buckling wood.
How often should I have my property inspected?
We recommend having your property inspected for termites annually. However, in high-risk areas or if you've had previous infestations, more frequent inspections, such as every six months, are advisable to ensure early detection and prevent significant damage.
What does a termite inspection involve?
During a termite inspection, we focus on areas prone to infestation, like crawl spaces, foundations and roof cavities. We look for signs of termites, such as mud tubes, wood damage. We may also use thermal imaging to detect hidden activity.
We install termite barriers, an essential measure for preventing termite entry into your property. Our barriers include both physical and chemical options. Physical barriers are installed during construction to block termite access, whilst chemical barriers involve applying termiticides to the soil around the foundation, creating a treated zone that repels or kills termites. Our barriers are designed to provide long-lasting protection and comply with Australian Standards. Learn more about the options we offer below:
Physical barriers: Physical barriers are installed during the construction phase and act as a long-lasting defense against termites. These barriers create an impenetrable layer that termites cannot cross, preventing them from accessing the structure. Made from durable materials, they provide reliable, non-toxic protection that complies with Australian building codes.
Chemical barriers: Chemical barriers involve applying termiticides to the soil surrounding your property’s foundation. These treatments form an invisible shield that repels or kills termites upon contact. Designed for both pre-construction and existing properties, chemical barriers offer lasting protection by preventing termites from entering your home.
Baiting systems: Baiting systems are used on occasions where termite activity is found inside homes. Once termites consume the bait and share it with their colony, the slow-acting toxin spreads, eliminating the entire population, including the queen. Baiting systems are a proactive and environmentally friendly way to target termite colonies.
We also offer comprehensive termite protection services to shield your property from future infestations. Our approach combines multiple layers of protection, including pre-construction treatments, post-construction barriers and ongoing monitoring systems. We utilise advanced termiticides and baiting systems to create a continuous protective zone around your property. Regular inspections and maintenance are part of our service to ensure the effectiveness of the protection over time, providing you with peace of mind against termite threats.
Options we offer include:
HomeGuard: HomeGuard is a unique termite management system that integrates physical and chemical barriers into the construction phase of your property. This multi-layered approach not only prevents termites from entering but also ensures they are repelled or eliminated upon contact.
Greenzone: Greenzone is an innovative termite physical barrier system. Can be used during renovation works and concrete cut outs in slabs.
